Wireless Wandering Motion Detector with Remote Alarm

Help stop dangerous wandering by monitoring the movement of those with dementia, Autism or other brain related conditions with motion detection and a remote alarm that you can have by your side!

The system has two components: a motion detector and a wireless remote alarm. Place the motion detector near a doorway, bed, hallway, bathroom, etc. (mounting tape supplied) and turn it on. When someone wanders within 15' of the detector, a signal is sent to the alarm. The alarm sounds, alerting the caregiver of an unwanted wanderer or trespasser. The transmitter itself does not sound so that it does not startle the wanderer.

Three alarm tones available: musical, bell, or siren. Alarm continues to sound for 2-seconds, 30-seconds, or 1-minute after last motion detected.

The alarm receiver can be up to 120 feet away so that it can be carried around (or clipped to your side) in both a home or facility.

The detector plugs directly into an outlet or can use a 9V battery (sold separately). Remote alarm receiver uses 3 AA batteries (sold separately). Indoor use only.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Can I carry the alarm with me? Yes, you can even garden in your back yard, as long as you don't go beyond the range of the Wandering Alarm. (The alarm even has a clip that will attach to your belt or pocket.)
  • Will pets set off the motion alarms? Yes, however, careful placement of the motion detector, allowing it to only "see" above a certain height and limited spaces or prohibiting pets from going into monitored areas may help alleviate this problem.
  • Are tools needed to install the product? No, both the detector and alarm can be set on a table or attached to the wall using adhesive-backed velcro (included). In cases where a more permanent, wall-mounted installation is desired, each unit has a mounting hole on the back.

This product is not intended to be a life saving instrument or substitution for proper supervision.

I bought this to monitor my father-in-law so he can't sneak outside or get hurt in the kitchen. It has already saved the day many times. Good idea for many applications.

I like this product because it is battery operated and can be moved around easily.  The only thing I didn't like was the sound from the receiver was so loud and there was no volume control.  I do like the doorbell sound because it will sound for only a couple of seconds and as long as the person is in the view of the transmitter.  As for the loudness, I wrapped a towel around the receiver and put it in a bedroom drawer.  I was still able to hear it and it wasn't loud enough for my mother to hear.  So that solved the problem with the loud noise.  I still wish there was a volume control.  Other than that, I like the product.

I love this device.  It gives me the comfort to know if my Mom is up in the middle of the night, I am alerted to it immediately.  This is the second model I have owned.  The peace of mind I get from having it on during the night is immeasurable.
