The player just stops periodically. Stops playing. When that happens, we shut the lid, pull the plug from the back, and put the plug back in, then open and it plays again (so far). This is not a good thing, though, as this won't work when my dad (who has AD) is alone with the player. Help? MINDCARE - The plug must be pushed in ALL the way until you hear/feel a slight click. This should prevent the power cord from disconnecting during use. Thank you!

Simple Music Player May 17, 2018 Reviewer: Denise Nix from Raymond, MS United States   My mother who is 93 and has vascular dementia LOVED her "radio"!!! It is fabulous and I feel that every individual who has this devastating disease could benefit from the music of their era.  I plan to recommend it to the Director of the memory care facility and encourage other family members to order one for their loved one! The ability to download the person's favorite musicians and songs is an added bonus. This product is phenomenal and my only regret is that I was unaware of it at an earlier date. This product needs to marketed at all Alzheimer's and dementia venues and also at assisted living and memory care facilities. As a matter of fact,  my mother would have loved this before her diagnosis. The ease of use and the clarity of the sound would be beneficial to many elders. I personally will be promoting this amazing music player!

Radio for the Dementia Patient April 22, 2018 Reviewer: Sandy Stambaugh from Alto, NM United States   I have been researching music and the dementia patient and everything I read was so positive that I decided to purchase the radio from Mind Care.  I am able to download 1000 songs that bring back wonderful memories for my mom who suffers from dementia.  She absolutely loves the radio.  It goes 24/7 and has been a blessing for her to have.  With her dementia she has stopped watching TV and reading is becoming increasingly harder for her, the music has opened a whole new world for her.  I HIGHLY recommend this radio if you have a loved one that is suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's .   THANK YOU!!

Love the small radio December 13, 2017 Reviewer: Jennifer from GARY, IN United States   It arrived on time and in good shape. It was preloaded with instrumental oldies which were nice but I removed them to my computer and purchased music on amazon prime which I think better suits my parents. It was a little tricky learning how to do it but now that it's done I know my parents will love it!

Love this Music Player! February 12, 2017 Reviewer: Susan S. from Franklin, IN United States   I bought this for Mom, who has trouble with knobs, buttons and changing stations, etc.  It's so simple to operate, and she loves the music from the 40's era that comes on the radio.  We downloaded all her favorites, Sinatra, Bennett, Como, Elvis and many others for her listening pleasure.  It brings back fond memories for her, and she sometimes sings along with songs she remembers.  This machine is priceless.

Simple to operate June 27, 2016 Reviewer: Julie B from Winona, MN United States   We gave this to my 88 yr old Mom with advancing dementia who resides in a memory care unit.  We love that she is able to figure out how to turn it on & off independently.  The sound is great and the preloaded Big Band songs bring a smile to her face! The memory care staff is impressed with the music player as well.
